It all starts with an Evaluation...

Everyone starts out with an evaluation. This gives me a chance to meet your dog in their own environment. I will give my professional opinion on what program I think would be best for you and your dog. I want to hear your goals and concerns and see what we can do to reach those goals.

Private Lessons

Lessons are about an hour long. We schedule your lessons every week or every other week depending on how much time you have to work with your dog. We will be working on commands as well as addressing any problems you are having. We will start at your home and move to other areas such as parks, and dog friendly stores. In this program I am teaching you how to train your dog.

Day Trips

I pick up your dog for 4 hours. During this time I will be working on basic commands, socialization skills and gearing our day towards whatever problems you are facing. The last 45 minutes I bring your dog home and do a lesson with you to get you up to speed. This program is great for those who are doing private lessons and struggling on certain things. Also, this is great for those dogs who have reactivity issues as well as fearful dogs.

5 Day Program - Pick up Drop off

In this program I am doing all of the foundation work and getting the ball rolling a lot faster. I pick up your dog in the morning and bring them back home later in the day. I am working on come, place, heel, off, sit, down, manners and anything else you would like to accomplish. We are going to pet friendly stores and parks. I am focusing on socialization and getting your dog to listen in distractions. I always instruct the owners to make a list of goals for their dog. Since I work with only one dog at a time my only focus is your dog. At the end of every day I do a lesson with you and your dog. This gives you a chance to see what we were working on but more importantly I am teaching you how to work with your dog. By the end of this program, you will notice a drastic difference in your dog’s training and behavior. Every dog learns at a different pace so I cannot guarantee where your dog will be by the end of the 5 days. Your dog WILL be following commands even with distractions, depending on the dog and follow through of the owner, I may even get your dog off leash. This program is great for those who just don't have the time but want to be involved, dogs who suffer from fear and even aggression issues.

Group Class

This is open to my More Than Manners clients who have completed any of my other programs. Your dog must be approved for group. I need to make sure you have control of your dog around all the other dogs and people. The group classes are held at all different parks. They are normally held on Sundays.

1 Week Stay and Train

Your dog will stay with me in my home for 7 days. They will receive several training sessions a day but are also getting structure and play in-between lessons. Your dog will be working in my house, back yard, parks and dog friendly stores. We will be working on socialization, commands, manners and more. The difference with the dog staying at my home compared to a kennel or training facility is we are actually dealing with everyday life such as counter surfing, company coming over, relaxing when it’s time to sit down and watch tv, chasing cats...and so much more. They are not kenneled and pulled out for lessons...they become part of my pack! I only have one dog staying with me at a time so I can give your dog my undivided attention!

2 Week Stay and Train

Your dog will stay with me in my home for 2 weeks. I am working on the same as the 1 week but by the second week we are working in heavier distraction and most importantly with a solid off leash recall (come command). That second week I am really trying to get your dog to function without a leash even with distractions. This program is also geared towards behavior modification (fear, aggression).

Behavior Modification

This program is geared towards fearful, anxious and reactive dogs. Depending on your evaluation we will come up with a mixture of programs to set your dog up for success. My goal is the least amount of stress on your dog while accomplishing as much as we can!
